Biography
Matti holds a Master Degree in Science major subject in Molecular Biology. He has also conducted a cancer basic research as Graduate Student in the La Jolla Cancer Research Foundation and the University of Helsinki.Matti Arvela was appointed Executive Director and General Manager of Amgen Hellas and Cyprus in June 2015. Prior to that, Matti was Country Director in Amgen Finland. Matti also contributed as a European Brand Director based in HQ in Switzerland in launching one of Amgen’s successful cancer treatments.
Research Interest
he worked almost eight years in Roche with increasing responsibilities in the area of oncology and hematology. He has been working in the pharmaceutical industry for more than 18 years and through his various roles in the pharma industry Matti has had a critical role in launching innovative medicines for life-threatening diseases in Europe. Since February 2017, he is elected Member of the Board at PhRMA Innovation Forum.
