Biography
Dr. Cesar Mattei holds a Diploma in Biotechnologies from the University Paris 7, France. Since 2010, he is associate professor a the Science Faculty of the University of Angers (France), and researcher at the laboratory of Neurovascular Biology of the Faculty of medicine. He is currently working on the cellular and molecular pharmacology of membrane receptors and ion channels. He focuses on toxic molecules (neurotoxins, insecticides) acting on their targets and disturbing the physiological processes. Some of his projects include GABA receptors, Na+ channels and nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. He uses mainly electrophysiology, Ca2+ imaging, FRET signal on in vitro models.
