Biography
Our research is focused on the alterations in metabolic and signaling pathways that contribute to dysregulated vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC) phenotype in the context of atherosclerosis and restenosis after angioplasty. In this regard, we determine how altered glucose metabolism regulates key proliferative signaling pathways using human aortic VSMCs in culture. In conjunction with these studies.
