Biography
Dr. George Filioussis graduated from the Department of Veterinary Medicine Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1992. Furthermore I earned a "doctor of philosophy" degree (PhD) from the above mentioned department in 2002. I completed one year post doctoral studies in the Institute of Veterinary Bacteriology, University of Bern Switzerland in 2007. In 2014 i was nominated a Diplomat of European College of European College for Small Ruminant Health Management (ECSRHM). I speak English and German. I have 19 years of working experience in diagnostic laboratories of infectious diseases of the Greek Army and 4 years and 10 months in the diagnostic laboratoryof Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, School of Health Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). Furthermore for a 6 months period he was a Medical Advisor of the Allied Forces in Kabul Afghanistan (ISAF). In undergraduate programs for 5 semesters in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, School of Health Sciences, University of Thessaly , Greece (Adjunct professor with fixed-term employment for teaching the courses) and for 4 years and 10 months in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, School of Health Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. In a post graduate program for 4 semesters in the National School of Public Health (teaching post graduate courses in Veterinary Public Health sector). My scientific work consists of 40 scientific research papers with impact factor 75,412, h-factor 12 και 404 citations.
