Biography

I was born in Desfina, Fokida, Greece, on 27 February 1946, son of Christos and Ioanna Meletis. Father of two, Christos and Rallou. I became a physician the Athens University Medical School in 1970. Medical Assistant 1970-1977, University Assistant 1978-1981, Senior Registrar 1981-1983, Senior Lecturer 1983-1988.Diplomate of Board of Medicine 1978, Board of Hematology 1981, Ph.D. Assistant Univerite Paris VII Ecole de Medicine Lariboisier-Saint Louis 1984-1987. Assistant Professor 1989-1995, Associate Professor 1995-2009, Professor of Internal Medicine and Hematology at the School 2010 and Head of the Hematology Department of the University of Athens School of Medicine, Laiko General Hospital, Athens, Greece To date, I have published over 550 works in Greek, English and French, including book publications.
