Chronakis Emmanoui

Biography

   He was born in Astrissi, Heraklion, Crete, on 12/10/1963 and graduated from the Maliotiko Lyceum of Meleses, Heraklion, Crete.  He attended the Medical School of the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and obtained my degree in Medicine with a degree "Excellent".  He obtained my thesis at the VI University Clinic of Surgery, Rome, entitled "Using a New Prostate Intestine in Prostate".  He obtained the medical license to practice in Italy and the license to practice in Greece in 1990.  After completing my military service in the Navy, He completed the Rural Service at the Tylissos Medical Center in Agia Varvara Health Center, Iraklion, Crete.   At the same time, until December 2000, I worked in the intensive care unit of APOLLONIOU Therapeutic Office and then until May 2001 I worked at the Athens Medical Center.  From May 2001 until now I work at METROPOLITAN HOSPITAL under the title of Director of the Cardiology Clinic and Scientifically Responsible of the Hemodynamic Laboratory.  Since June 2000, I have maintained a private practice by continuing my medical training by attending and participating in international and Greek medical conferences and training seminars, by developing scientific activities with lectures on medical conferences, publications in medical journals, writing of books in cardiology books, and communications to Greek and international conferences. I am a member of Hellenic and International Scientific Associations (Hellenic Cardiology Society, Antihypertensive Society of Greece, Hellenic College of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, Interventional Cardiology Working Group, European Cardiology Society, European Atherosclerosis Society) and a founding member of the Hellenic Society of Emergency Emergency Medicine.

Research Interest

 In the context of my specialization in cardiology I served as a qualified physician in Pathology, in the Pathology Clinic of the Rethymnon Hospital, Crete and completed my specialization at the Cardiology Clinic of the Popular Hospital in Athens, obtaining the title of specialty in cardiology in 2000. By the summer of 2001 I remained as a scientific associate following and participating in the activities of the cardiology clinic, developing my research activity and continuing my education (PARAGON - B, CURE, OVERTURE, etc.) and participated as researcher in multinational multicenter studies.
