Biography

"Dimitrios N Bikiaris is an Associate Professor of Polymer Chemistry and Technology in the Department of Chemistry at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He has a large research experience in the field of Polymer Chemistry and Technology, in synthesis of new biocompatible polymers and their applications as drug delivery carriers. He has co-authored more than 170 publications in peer-reviewed journals and more than 128 in conference proceedings and 4 chapters in international books. He has served as reviewer in 70 scientific journals. He is the co-inventor of 12 international patents. His current research focuses on the synthesis of new biocompatible aliphatic polyesters and their applications for drug nanoencapsulation and the preparation of drug solid dispersions. "
