Biography
George Stavroulakis graduated from the Medical School of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1989, where he was admitted through the Panhellenic Examination in 1983. Specialized in the Cardiology Clinic of the Popular Hospital (1993-97), where he then worked as a salaried scientific associate until 2000. Since 2001 he works as a curator in the Cardiology Clinic of "Health Melathron" (Nursing Institution of the National Health Bank Staff Fund). He was a collaborator of the hemodynamic laboratories (coronary angioplasty) of Konstantopouleio (Agios Olga) and Laiko hospitals and from 2012 Bioclinic Athens. In 2003 he was awarded the title of Ph.D. of the University of Athens for endothelial function in patients with hypertension, under the supervision of Professor Moutsopoulos. She has participated in the preparation of 15 published papers in international journals, which have received about 360 bibliographic references. After postgraduate training at 251 GNA and Exams (2005), he received accreditation for the performance of special echocardiographic techniques (diisophagia, stress echo) by the Hellenic Cardiological Society. In 2016 he attended a training program on sports cardiology in the specialized center of St. George's Hospital, University of London . He has been holding a private cardiology clinic since 1998. Sports sports such as swimming, yoga, winter skiing, cycling and guitar.
