Biography
Dr. Eleni Christodoulou obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Besançon (France). She pursued her studies in Pierre et Marie Curie University (Paris 6), France, where she obtained her MSc in Biochemistry-Pharmacology in 2008 and her PhD degree in Physiology & Physiopathology in 2011, focusing on the role of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling on intramyocellular lipid accumulation during obesity and type 2 diabetes. In 2012 she joined the laboratory of Dr. D.L. Konotyiannis at BSRC AL.Fleming, Greece as postdoctoral scientist, where she worked on the study of the RNA Binding Protein HuR during intestinal and lung inflammation and cancer, using inducible, KO and Tg mouse models and xenografts. In 2016 she was invited for two months to Xining, Qinghai, China as a high–end expert inside of the “one thousand talents plan†of the Chinese Government to work with Prof. P. Karanis in the field of parasitology. In November 2016, she joined Biomedcode’s R&D department as research scientist.
