Biography
I completed a PhD in 2008 at University of Palermo (Italy), I joined University of Stellenbosch (South Africa) in 2009 as a postdoc, after that I moved in University of Palermo (Italy) for another postdoc. I am currently Senior Lecturer at eCampus University (Italy).
Research Interest
The research conducted since 2003 at the Italian and foreign universities aimed to study the structure, function and plasticity of striated muscle (skeletal and cardiac) subjected to stress (physical activity, exercise, sports injury or disease) in different experimental models (in vitro, in animal and in human) via a multidisciplinary approach (anatomical, physiological and bio-molecular), with particular attention to adult stem cells, and exercise.
