Biography
He Completed his PhD on Medical Physics,from University of Patras, working on algorithms and simulations applied on medical issues, especially on breast cancer imaging. Since 2001 George Spyrou is working as Research Scientist on Medical Physics and Informatics in the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens. Also, he has been assigned as the Head of the Department of Informatics and New Technologies in the Foundation.
Research Interest
applying medical image analysis techniques and developing decision support systems for the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer.
