Biography
In his current position as a Staff Research Scientist, Dr. Kotsovilis will support investigation conducted in BRFAA from the aspect of Scientific Writing. He completed his undergraduate studies in Dentistry (Sch. Dentistry, Univ. Athens, 2001). He received an MSc in Oral Biology (Sch. Dentistry, Univ. Athens, 2003), a post-graduate diploma in the clinical specialty of Periodontology (Sch. Dentistry, Univ. Athens, 2006) and a PhD in Medicine (Medical Sch., Univ. Athens, 2010). He worked on the discovery of members of the syndecan family of heparan sulfate proteoglycans in the gingiva of patients with chronic periodontitis in collaboration with BRFAA (Charonis Lab; Clinical, Experimental Surgery, & Translational Research Center).
