Biography
He holds Doctorate degree in Biology from National and Capodistrian University of Athens. he was Research Associate at the 2nd Pediatric Department, NCUA (Dr. NG Papadopoulos group). From 2004 to 2008 he was Scientific collaborator and senior post-doctoral researcher at BRFAA (Dr. Yassemi Capetanaki group), whereas since August 2008 he is Staff Research Scientist (Associate Professor Level) at the Histochemistry Core Facility, Histology Dept., BRFAA. He has actively participated in numerous funded research activities as senior collaborator and he is currently being funded for his own research.
Research Interest
Stelios Psarras’ research activities focus on the study of tissue remodeling mechanisms and their contribution to the pathologies of basic organs (e.g. heart, lung).
