Biography
Prof. is a pharmacist and she got her PhD in Chemical Sciences. She is Full Professor of Pharmaceutical Technologies at the University of Palermo, Italy. Her main research interests are: the synthesis and characterization of new biocompatible polymers; the production of polymeric colloidal systems for drug delivery such as nanoparticles, polymeric micelles, drug-polymer conjugates; the design, synthesis, characterization and biological evaluation of non-viral vectors for gene therapy, such as polycations and nanoparticles. Gennara Cavallaro is co-author of 128 publications on International journals, 5 book monographies, more than 150 congress communications and 8 national/international patents.
