Biography
Susan Coffin is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine of UPENN and Clinical Director of the Infectious Diseases Division at CHOP. Furthermore, she has been the director of the Prevention and Control of Hospital Infections Division at CHOP for over a decade. She is the head of a funded research program focusing on the prevention of hospital infections and diseases that can be prevented through vaccination. She has been extensively active in programs for prevention of infectious diseases and containment of pandemics both in the USA and other countries, including Botswana, Ghana, Vietnam, Egypt, China and Greece.
