Biography
Christos A. Ouzounis is awarded PhD in Bioinformatics from University of York. He holds a Master Degree (MSc) in Biological computation from University of York, followed by a Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Biological science from University of York. He has extended his valuable service as a Research director at CERTH and has been a recipient of many award and grants. His international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study. His research interests reflect in his wide range of publications in various national and international journals.
Research Interest
Genome structure, function and evolution; evolution of protein function; evolution of genetic information-processing systems; theory and applications of biological sequence comparison; data and knowledge representation for genomics; unsupervised machine learning in very large datasets; biologically-inspired hardware & software engineering; synthetic biology; exobiology; science communication.
