Biography
Prof. Dr. Saffet Yagiz received B.Sc., from Ankara University in Turkey. He completed a M.Sc., in Geological Engineering, emphasized on Engineering Geology and Soil Mechanics, from Missouri University-Rolla, and a Ph.D., in Mining and Earth Systems Engineering, specified in Rock Mechanics and Tunneling, from the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) in the USA. He is the author of the monograph, “Modified CSM Model for Predicting TBM Performance in Rock Mass (2014)”; an author of numerous international scientific papers relevant with rock mechanics and geotechnics.
