Biography
Hong Yan was born in Hunan Province, China, in 1986. He received the B.S. degree (2008) and Ph. D degree (2012) from the University of Science and Technology of China. He worked as an associate Professor in Institute of Earth Environment, Chinese Academy of Science, during 2012-2015. Currently he works a full professor in Institute of Earth Environment, Chinese Academy of Science. His researches mainly focus on tropical climate changes and Solar-Earth climate interactions and dynamics. He uses the lake sediment, peatland and marine bivalve (Tridacna shell) to examine the climate changes in tropics since the Last Glacial Maximum.
