Biography
Dr. Dai did his undergraduate work at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) with an emphasis on computational mathematics. After graduating from NUAA at the beginning of 1982, he worked for two and a half years as a teacher in Nanjing Forestry University. He returned to NUAA in 1984 and obtained the M.S. degree in computational mathematics in 1986. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in computational mathematics from Nanjing University in 1988. His doctoral work focused on inverse eigenvalue problems. He joined the faculty of mathematics at NUAA in 1988. He is a Professor in College of Science at NUAA. His research interests concern Krylov subspace methods and preconditioning techniques for linear systems and eigenvalue problems, inverse eigenvalue problems with applications to model updating and structural design, matrix equations with applications to optimal control, etc.
