Biography
Mr. Papadopoulos is currently the CEO of Forthnet Group, holding also the position of Vice Chairman in the BoD, as an Executive Member. He is a founding member of Forthnet S.A., the company that brought the Internet to Greece, as a spin off from the Foundation for Research and Technology (FORTH), where Mr. Papadopoulos started his career at the Computer Science Institute, back in 1991. After 20 years in the telecom and media industry, holding various executive positions in Forthnet S.A. (Technical Manager, Commercial Manager, COO), Mr. Papadopoulos became the Chief Executive Officer of Forthnet Group on February of 2011. He is now leading the Group to a new era of converged services in broadband and pay TV industry, after the Nova acquisition in 2008. Born in 1970 in Agios Nikolaos, Crete, he is a graduate of the Computer Science Department of the University of Crete and holder of a MBA from A.L.B.A. Graduate Business School.
