Biography
Dr. Błażej Misiak, MD received his Ph.D. degree in the field of psychiatry at Wroclaw Medical University (Poland). Currently, he works as a research fellow at Department of Genetics (Wroclaw Medical University, Wroclaw, Poland). His main interests include pharmacogenetics of antipsychotic drugs, genetics and epigenetic of schizophrenia, biological aspects of metabolic dysregulation in early psychosis and the role of early-life stress in the etiology of schizophrenia. He is an author of over 50 publications in international peer-reviewed journals. He received several prestigious awards for his contribution to the field of psychiatry and neuroscience, including the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP) Fellowship Award or the START scholarship provided by the Foundation for Polish Science.
Research Interest
Pharmacogenetics of antipsychotics, genetics and epigenetic of schizophrenia, early metabolic dysregulation in psychosis, early-life stress and psychosis.
