Emeritus, National and Kapodistriako University of Athens, he holds: B.Sc in Natural Sciences, B.Sc in Geology, Habil Thesis, Department of Geology University of Athens (UoA), Ph.D Department of Geology, University of Manchester. He is President of the Department of Geology and Geoenvironment, UoA. Summer research fellow, National Hellenic Research Foundation and Royal Society of England
