Biography
Dimitris Mazarakis is CEO & Vice Chairman of MetLife in Greece, as well as Chairman of the BoD of the Mutual Fund Company. He has over 18 years of experience in Life Insurance industry. He joined Alico in 1998 and since then, he has held a number of senior positions during his career, including Actuarial Director, Chief Operating & Financial Officer, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer and Deputy General Manager. Since January 2015, he is also member of the Executive Leadership Team of MetLife Inc.He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hellenic Association of Insurance Companies (HAIC). Firstly, in 2009 he was appointed as a member of the BoD and since then he held critical positions, in 2011 as a Chairman of Life, Pensions & Health Committee and in 2016 as General Secretary of the BoD.
