Biography
Dieter Schillinger (Germany) is assistant director general responsible for ILRI’s biosciences research. He previously worked as an independent animal health consultant (from 2012). Before that, he worked for more than 25 years in the animal health industry. His last position was with Merial, where he was head of public affairs for Europe, Middle East and Africa. He has a doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Munich. He has managerial and leadership experience, particularly in business management and policy settings for veterinary public health.
