Biography
After completing his studies in Medicine and Nutritional Sciences in Giessen/Germany, Cadiz/Spain and Louisvile/Ky USA, Kantelhardt started his medical career as a volunteer in a small missions Hospital in rural Africa (Gahini/Rwanda). Following this he turned to Neurosurgery and has since been working in a number of Departments worldwide (Winterthur/Switzerland, Lübeck, Göttingen, Munich and Mainz/Germany and Seoul/Korea). In 2010 he became associate Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Göttingen University. In 2012, he was appointed Assistant Director of the Department of Neurosurgery at Mainz University and in 2013, with the age of 36, he was appointed vice-chariman and full Professor in the same Department.
