Biography
Tiberius Weimakis is an Associate Professor of Department of Industrial Chemistry and Food, Chemistry Department of Chemistry. Studies: 1. Chemistry of the Department of Chemistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, 1976. 2. Ph.D. from the Department of Chemistry of the University of Ioannina, 1986.
Research Interest
Research Activities Photocatalysis: Synthesis and characterization of nanocomposite photocatalysts based on titania (TiO2). Development of titania with "small addition" of non-metals (F, N, S) and on the other hand organized titanium structures using a polymeric matrix. Development of composites with HA and biocompatible inorganic (TiO2) or polymers. Bioceramics: Preparation and characterization of bio-ceramic and composite biocompatible scaffolds based on hydroxyapatite (HA). Effect on the morphology and composition of both the precipitation conditions and method and the presence of various organic compounds. Thermal Analysis Study of thermal behavior of solids. Kinetic and thermodynamic study using TG / DTG, DSC and TMA techniques. Ointment enrichment: Exploitation and enrichment of phosphate rock with selective solubilization.
