Biography
Dr Papageorgiou is the Head of the International Tourism and Hospitality Management Department, and teaches on a number of tourism management- and marketing-related courses. He joined Deree in September 2013. His hospitality sector experience notably includes the position of Resident Centres Supervisor in the accommodation sector of the Athens 2004 Olympic and Paralympic Village. Dr Papageorgiou’s academic career started when he joined the University of Surrey as a Lecturer in Tourism, where he also obtained a postgraduate qualification in Academic Practice (PGCert, 2007). After leaving Surrey he was appointed Academic Dean at Alpine Center in Greece.
