Biography
Akinori Sato MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Urology at the National Defense Medical College in Japan. He is a board-certified urologist and also a basic researcher in the field of urologic oncology. Dr. Sato graduated from School of Medicine at Keio University in Tokyo. He received his PhD in 2006 from Keio University. Dr Sato is one of the leading researchers in the use of endoplasmic reticulum stress, protein ubiquitination and histone acetylation to treat urological malignancies. His work has been highly regarded, receiving awards such as Best Poster Awards at the European Association of Urology Congresses, and the Japanese Urological Association Annual Meeting Awards. One of his papers on prostate cancer was featured as a Key Scientific Article by Global Medical Discovery.
