Biography
Thomas studied Chemistry at the Friedrich-Schiller-University of Jena. During his graduate and postdoctoral research in Pretoria (South Africa) he specialized in small molecule organic synthesis which he continued at Roche before joining Jena Bioscience in 2001. Thomas was promoted Head of Chemistry in 2003 and has synthesized several thousands of different nucleotides during his career.
