Biography
Prof. Ron Kohen has received his PhD in Biochemistry, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem during the period of 1982-1985. Currently, he is working as Professor, Head of the School of Pharmacy and Director of the Institute for Drug Research. He has Authored more than 140 research articles and reviews and 210 proceedings, chapters in books and abstracts.He is Active member in 11 Faculty and University committees like Chairman Teaching Committee of the School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Member, Promotion Committee of the Clinical Senior Staff of the Hebrew University and the Hadassah Hospital.

Oxidative stress, aging process, antioxidants, polyphenols, antioxidant, biological redox states, free radicals, oxidative stress related diseases, oxidative stress related methodologies, voltammetric measurements, biosensors, skin biochemistry, skin biomarkers, oxidation process in skin, brain and intestinal tract, drug delivery systems for antioxidants and nutraceuticals, nutritional interventions, oxidation process in the gastrointestinal tract, the Nrf2-Keap1 pathway, non-invasive evaluation of skin biomarkers
