Dr. Mariarita Dessi

Biography

Born on october 27, 1949 in Cagliari. Degree in Biological Sciences in 1972 at the University of Cagliari. Research Scientist at the Division of Clinical Biochemistry, Department of Experimental Medicine and Surgery, University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. She has worked for 3 years at the Institute of Human Genetics of the University of Firenze and for 6 years at the Laboratory of Metabolism and Pathological Biochemistry of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità in Rome. Since 14/07/2006 Dr. Dessì is Adjunct Professor. Since 06/09/2008 she is Head of Protein Division, Laboratory of Clinical Biochemistry, “Tor Vergata” University Hospital, Rome, Italy. She is a member of the following groups of study: - proteins - diabetes - cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) - gender medicine within of Società Italiana di Biochimica Clinica (SIBioC) e Società Italiana di Medicina di Laboratorio (SIMeL). Her research interests are glicate hemoglobin, free light chain in serum, urine and CSF.
