Biography
Michelle is the President-elect of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) UK Branch and commences her tenure in September 2016. Diego Gonzalez Aguilera (Head of Cartographic and Land Engineering Department and Head of the TIDOP research unit), graduated at Salamanca University (Spain) in Surveying Engineering (1999) and Geodesy and Cartography Engineering (2001), he stayed as research assistant at INRIA Grenoble (France) in the Institute of Computer Vision and Robotics, where he also performed his PhD on “3d reconstruction from a single view" in 2005. Based on his thesis’s results, he obtained four international awards of the International Societies of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS/ASPRS). He has authored more than 70 research articles in international journals and conference proceedings. His teaching and research lines are focused on close range photogrammetry, computer vision and laser scanning applied to engineering and architecture. Currently, he is member of the ISPRS, where he is serving as secretary of the Working Group on "Terrestrial 3D Modelling: Algorithms and Methods" and regularly as program committee member of conferences and reviewer for related journals.
Research Interest
His teaching and research lines are focused on close range photogrammetry, computer vision and laser scanning applied to engineering and architecture. Currently, he is member of the ISPRS, where he is serving as secretary of the Working Group on "Terrestrial 3D Modelling: Algorithms and Methods" and regularly as program committee member of conferences and reviewer for related journals.
