Biography
Ziya S. Cetiner obtained his MS from Colorado State University (Fort Collins, CO, USA) in 1998 and his PhD from University of Idaho (Moscow, ID, USA) in 2003. His research interests include environmental chemistry, heavy metals solubility, speciation, transport, groundwater/geothermal exploration and environmental geochemistry. He has significant experience on field-based studies (USA, New Zealand and Turkey) of geothermal systems and environment. He is currently a faculty member of Department of Geological Engineering at the Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. He has also been serving as an Earth System Science and Environmental domain expert and rapporteur for various scientific funding schemes of FP-7 and Horizon 2020 in EU Research Area.

Theoretical and field-based studies of ore deposits, geothermal systems and the environment including heavy metals solubility, speciation, transport, groundwater/geothermal exploration geochemistry, geochemical and environmental software applications
