Biography
Researcher in the C-TAC Research Centre at the University of Minho. Authored more than 270 publications, 100 in CrossRef, 92 papers in peer reviewed journals, 71 publications in Scopus, 71 publications in ISI Web of Knowledge-WoK, 41 papers published in ISI-A1 journals. Cited in more than 100 different Scopus journals. Citations received in ISI WoK journals-571 (h-index=14), citations received in Scopus journals-761 (h-index=16). Future h-index prediction for the year 2020 using Körding´s algorithm (WoK h-index=24, Scopus h-index=28). Invited reviewer for 59 international journals (45 SCI referenced). Since 2009 he accepted journal invitations to review a total of 158 SCI papers. Member of the editorial board of four international journals. Grand assessor for the Australian Research Council, the Foundation for Polish Science and the British Research Council. Lead Editor of 12 international books published by Springer and WoodHead Publishing-Elsevier Science and Technology with more than 300 contributors from 46 countries in the five continents. Some of these books are available in all the libraries of the 10 most important universities according to the 2014 Shanghai Ranking World Top 500 universities.
