EDUCATION: 1995　Graduated Department of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering,  Seoul National University of Technology, Korea, March, 1995, with the degree of Bachelor of Engineering.  1997　Obtained an M. S. at Gifu University, Japan, March, 1997.  2000　Obtained a Ph.D. at Gifu University, Japan, March, 2000. JOB EXPERIENCES:  2000.12-2003.11　Post-doctoral fellowship at University of Central Florida, USA  2005.9　 Associate Professor at Muroran Institute of Technology, Japan  2013-present Professor at Muroran Institute of Technology, Japan  FELLOWSHIPS AND SCHOLARSHIPS: 1997-1999　Japan Government Full Scholarship 1995-1996　 Association of Education Foundation Full Scholarship, Japan ACHIEVEMENTS: 1) Meritorious Service Section, Prize of Secretary of Korea Ministry of Construction & Transportation (2004.11) 2) New Technology Section, Prize of Secretary of Korea Ministry of Science & Technology (2004.10)

Research Interest

●Waste biomass recycling: (1) Bioplastics (biopolymer) production using microorganisms, (2) Lignin degradation and Bioethanol production from Non-edible seaweed ●Microbial removal of pollutant (Petroleum, inorganic chlorinated compounds; PCE, PCBs, endocrine disruptors; Bisphenol A, 4-tert-butylphenol etc.)
