Biography
Katerina Tsougeni received a M.Sc. and a Ph.D degree in Polymers Science and Applications from the Chemistry Department of the University of Athens, in 2005 and 2010 respectively. Master Thesis title: “Modification of Polydimethylsiloxane Surfaces in Plasma Discharges†(2005). Ph.D thesis title: “Micro and Nano Modification of Polymers for the Fabrication of Polymeric Microanalytical Devices†(2010).
Research Interest
Her current research interests include design, fabrication and characterization of bioanalytical devices for enrichment and isolation of DNA of pathogen microorganisms in food fabrication, for chromatographic applications, as well as for micro-array technology applications.
