Biography
Stephen Rosow is Professor of Political Science at the State University of New York at Oswego where he teaches courses in political theory and in an interdisciplinary program in global studies. He received his BA from Columbia University in 1975 and his PhD from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1981. He works at the intersection of the history of political theory, critical international theory, and political economy in order to open up questions about the global as a novel spatio-temporal framing of thought. Most recently, he is the co-author, with Jim George, of Globalization & Democracy (Rowman & Littlefield). He is currently working on two projects, a text on global political theory and a study of war in the history of democratic political theory.
