Biography

Prof. Takada received his M.D. and Ph.D. from the Niigata University, Japan (1985, 1993). His professional training included a residency of internal medicine at the Niigata Cancer Center Hospital and a basic research training at the Department of Biochemistry, Niigata University Graduate School of Medicine. Then he spent about two years working as a post-doctoral research trainee at the Department of Biochemistry, University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis, TN, USA. After returned to Japan, he had held a position of Assistant professor, Lecturer, and Associate professor of Respiratory Medicine, Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences, Niigata University. Currently he works as the Director and a Professor of Uonuma Institute of Community Medicine, Niigata University Medical and Dental Hospital. Prof. Takada’s interest is oriented on ILD with particular emphasis on the study of collagen vascular disease associated ILD as well as occupational lung disease. He has been also committed to rare lung diseases including PAP and LAM.
