Biography
Anna Papa-Konidariiis directior of Microbiology in the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece. She specializes in Microbiology-Biopathology. She has experience in diagnostics and molecular epidemiology of arboviral diseases. As Head of the National Reference Centre for arboviruses and hemorrhagic fever viruses in Greece and partner of several European projects, including "CCH Fever", she has experience in diagnostics and epidemiology, including molecular epidemiology of CCHF. Much effort was paid during the last years on the differential diagnosis of diseases with symptoms similar to CCHF. The immune response of CCHF patients and the identification of biomarkers related with severity and outcome of the disease is also among her fields of interest. She has 210 publications in PubMed, among them 49 are on CCHF.
