Biography

My name is Fernando Domingos and I was born in Lisbon on March 11, 1958. I am Nephrology Consultant interested in several areas of nephrology, including clinical nephrology, renal physiology, hemodialysis and other methods of kidney function replacing. My main investigation focused in kidney stone disease, namely its causes, consequences and prevention. I am particularly interested in the association between kidney stone disease other metabolic diseases, namely metabolic syndrome, hypertension and diabetes. I am involved in clinical investigation and I am an investigator at the Instituto de Medicina Molecular de Lisboa, at the School of Medicine of the University of Lisbon.
