Biography
Dr. Wu received a medical degree in 1982 and M.S. in 1986 from Qingdao Medical College, P.R. China. She completed thePostdoctoral Fellowship in the Department of Pathology at Johns Hopkins University (1997-1998) and in the University of Michigan (1999-2001). She served as Assistant Professor from 1988-1992 and Associate Professor from 1993-1997 in the Department of Pathology in Qingdao Medical College. During the period of 1992-1993, she was a Visiting Scientist in the Department of Pathology at the University of Cambridge (England). Dr. Wu joined the University of Michigan as a Research Investigator in 2002 and Research Assistant Professor in 2009. Dr. Wu’s research has focusedon the biology and genetics of gynecological cancers. For nearly a decade, she has worked todevelopmurine models of ovarian cancer. The models are been utilized in the studies of preclinical testing of novel drugs.
