Biography
Dr. Matsoukas has been employed both in the biotech industry and academia. Following his vision on pursuing an academic career, has focused entirely on basic research, therefore acquiring a post-doctoral position in the Autonomous University of Barcelona and consecutively holding a Senior researcher position in the Pharmacy Department, University of Patras, Greece. He has undertaken a series of research projects, from basic academic research (drug design) to industrial preclinical investigation of novel compounds, gaining significant experience in the field of biopharmaceuticals. His current work involves NMR structural biology, in association with enhanced computational and bioinformatics tools towards the identification of novel drug candidates.
