Biography
Hong Yan was born in Hunan Province, China, in 1986. He received the B.S. degree (2008) and Ph. D degree (2012) from the University of Science and Technology of China. He worked as an associate Professor in Institute of Earth Environment, Chinese Academy of Science, during 2012-2015. Currently he works a full professor in Institute of Earth Environment, Chinese Academy of Science. His researches mainly focus on tropical climate changes and Solar-Earth climate interactions and dynamics. He uses the lake sediment, peatland and marine bivalve (Tridacna shell) to examine the climate changes in tropics since the Last Glacial Maximum. He have published more than 30 articles in high quality international/national journals, such as Nature Geoscience, Nature Communications, Earth Science Reviews, GCA, and so on. He has received many honors and has been selected as the “Top ten young scientists of China in 2015”.
