Biography
Dr. Jin-Yue Sun has received his Ph.D. in College of Biological Sciences, China Agricultural University during the period of 2000-2003. From 2004-2007, he has been working as a postdoc at Lethbridge Research Centre, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. From 2008-20012, he has been working as a research associate at Plant Biotechnology Institute, National Research Council of Canada. From 2012-2013, he has been working as a research scientist at Bioriginal Food & Science Corp., Canada. From 2014-till present, he is working as a senior research scientist at Institute of Agro-Food Science and Technology, Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China. His research has included biotechnology, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, analytical chemistry, food science. Based on his research and fellowship training he has received several awards and honors from Canada and China. He is a member of the American Society of Plant Biologists, the Canadian Society of Plant Physiologists, and the Chinese Innovative Union for Pharmaceutical& Food Industry.
Research Interest
Drug intermediate development from medicinal plants, functional food development for prevention and adjuvant therapy of diseases such as cardiovascular, cancer, hypertension etc.
