Biography
Dr. Gamal Abd Allah Mohamed Hussein has received his Ph.D. in Natural Products Chemistry, Assiut University, Egypt in the year of 2006 . Currently, he is working as an Associate professor, Faculty of Pharmacy, in King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like Asian Journal of Biological and Life Sciences, World Research Journal of Natural Products, Journal of Medicinal Plant and Herbal Therapy Research etc. He has authored more than 50 research articles/books. He has awarded of Excellence in the field of scientific publishing, King Abdulaziz University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2012-2013.
Research Interest
•Isolation and identification of biologically active natural products from medicinal plants, marines and fungi. •Structure elucidation of natural products using different spectroscopic techniques e.g. UV, IR, MS, 1D, and 2D NMR. •Different chromatographic techniques such as TLC, CC, VLC, GC, and HPLC. •Biological evaluation of natural products.
