Biography

Dr. Lee received his medical degree in 1998 and PhD in 2004 from the College of Korean Medicine, Kyung Hee University in Seoul, South Korea. Dr. Lee served as internship, residentship and clinical fellow in the Division of Nephrology and Endocrinology, Kyung Hee Medical Center, Seoul, and was visiting research professor in Joslin Diabetes Center, Harvard medical school, Boston, USA. During this period, his research has mainly focused on inflammation and obesity-induced insulin resistance and developing new agents for obesity, insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome. Dr. Lee is the author or coauthor of more than 70 publications. Currently, Dr. Lee is a professor of Department of internal medicine, Kyung Hee University Medical Center, an associate editor of OPEM, a member of the society of Korean medicine, and a chief of steering committee of scholarship medicine research of WHO collaboration center.
