Biography
I have been born in Greece, in 22-1-1965. I had my education and most of my postdoctoral training in Greece. In 1998, I supported my thesis on the relationship of endothelium dysfunction with diabetic angioppathy in Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus. During 1999-2003, I had my postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Division of Experimental Diabetes and Aging, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, NY. Since 2003, I work in the Second Dept of Internal Medicine-Propaedeutic, Research Institute and Diabetes Center, Athens University Medical School, Attikon University Hospital, Athens, Greece, as Senior Lecturer in the beginning and now as Assist. Professor in Endocrinology. I have been author in 48 publications, with a mean impact factor: 3.5, H-Index: 18, citations (ISI/Scopus): 998/1298. I have attended many National and International Conferences and Scientific meetings. I have received awards and grants. Reviewer in over 36 atticles in peer-review journals and International grants.
