Biography
J. K. Kallitsis is professor in Polymer Science, at the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras and Collaborating Faculty Member of Foundation for Research and Technology, Hellas-Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences (FORTH/ICE-HT) Patras, Greece. He is also founding member of the spin-off activity “ADVENT TECHNOLOGIES SA” and a Member of the University Council (2013-2017). He studied Chemistry at the University of Patras and was awarded the BSc degree in 1979. He received the PhD degree in Chemistry in 1984 from the University of Patras, Department of Chemistry. He spent time as research fellow at Max-Planck Institute for Polymer Research, Mainz (1989-1990) and at the Plastics Research Laboratory B.A.S.F Ludwigshafen (1990-1991). He has also spent time as Inviting Professor at Freie Universität-Berlin, E.C.P.M., Université Louis Pasteur-Strasbourg, ETH-Zurich, ESPCI-ParisTech-France.
