Biography
Dr Savvidou’s research work focuses on the psychology of emotion and counselling. She is involved in projects dealing with the fear of stigma in seeking psychological help and the relationship between emotional intelligence and social interactions. She is also the Postgraduate and Clinical Placement Director of the Department.
Research Interest
Visual and vocal cues of expressed and perceived emotion; emotional intelligence at work and interpersonal relationships; social factors affecting well being; the role of stigma in seeking psychological help.
