Biography
Dr. Mohammad Alshayeb is an associate of software engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He received his MS and PhD in Computer Science and certificate of Software Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2000, 2002 and 1999 respectively. He received his B.S. in Computer Science from Mutah University, Jordan in 1995. Dr. Alshayeb worked as a senior researcher and Software Engineer and managed software projects in the United States and the Middle East.Dr. Alshayeb taught and coordinated industrial training courses. He provided consulting services to major industrial and educational institutes. He also received a number of certificates of excellence for the effort devoted to improving the Computer Science Department. He received the “Excellence in Research” award from KFUPM based on his research record during the period 2010-2013, the "Excellence in Teaching" award from KFUPM based on his teaching record during the period 2003-2007, the "Excellence in Advising" award from KFUPM based on his advising record during the period 2004-2008,“Excellence in Instructional Technology” award in 2012. Dr. Alshayeb is a member of a number of professional associations. He is a certified project manager (PMP). Dr. Alshayeb’s research interests include software refactoring, software quality, software measurement and metrics, object-oriented design and empirical studies in Software Engineering.
